What types of massage do you offer?

We offer Sports Massage for a targeted, therapeutic treatment and Swedish Massage for relaxation and stress relief.

What is the difference between sports massage and Swedish massage?

Sports massage focuses on specific muscles to improve movement, recovery, and performance, while Swedish massage uses gentler techniques to promote relaxation and overall wellbeing.

What is sports massage and who is it for?

Sports massage is a targeted therapy focusing on over used and tired muscles, this includes techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy and joint mobilization.
Usually to prevent injury or aid in recovery from physical activity and is suitable for both athletes and non-athletes.

Will a sports massage be painful and will I be sore afterwards?

It can feel intense at times, but pressure is always adjusted to your comfort level. Mild soreness is possible and usually settles within 24–48 hours.

How long is a session and what should I wear?

Sessions last 60-90 minutes, and you can wear underwear or sportswear with non-treated areas kept covered through-out treatment.

Can sports massage help prevent injuries?

Yes, by improving flexibility, circulation, and muscle pair balance.

Is massage good for recovery after exercise?

Yes, sports massage in particular helps reduce stiffness and supports faster recovery.

Are there any reasons I shouldn’t have a massage?

Certain medical conditions may require postponing treatment. Always fill out your consultation form prior to treatment to ensure time is not wasted.  

How many sessions will I need and how often will I need them?

Some clients notice improvement after one session, while others benefit from a short treatment plan. Most clients benefit from treatment every 2–4 weeks, depending on activity level and personal goals.
